Business Development Manager - Service Contracts South of England - Field Based £30,000 - £40,000 Basic + Commission + Company Car + Benefits
Are you a field-based BDM who knows how to open doors, build trust and turn long-term prospects into customers? We're recruiting for an established and growing engineering business looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to develop a new territory across the South of England. This is a genuine new business role, focused on winning preventative maintenance, service contracts and training packages with manufacturing, engineering and industrial customers.
We're interested in someone who understands how to sell service agreements, maintenance contracts or recurring service solutions and is comfortable building relationships with Maintenance Managers, Engineering Managers and Operations teams.
The Role
You'll take ownership of your territory, identifying businesses where there is an opportunity to introduce a new service and maintenance provider. This isn't a quick, transactional sale. You'll be building relationships, understanding how customers currently manage their maintenance requirements and developing the trust needed for them to consider changing supplier. Some opportunities may convert within a few months; others will require persistence.
