Partnerships & Consultative Sales

Salary: £32,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Location: Farringdon, London (hybrid, 3 days in the office)

Our client is a specialist R&D consultancy working with high-growth, innovation-led UK businesses. This is a partnership role working with existing clients and requires an inquisitive, engaging, confident style. Personality, rather than experience, is key.

As a Sales Associate you will help build and develop long-term referral relationships with accountancy firms across the UK. This is not a transactional sales role. It’s about credibility, trust and understanding when R&D tax moves from generalist advice into specialist territory.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and managing a portfolio of accountancy firms
  • Researching firms to understand client mix, sectors and R&D exposure
  • Engaging partners and senior managers through thoughtful, professional outreach
  • Explaining when and why specialist R&D advice is required
  • Coordinating introductions between accountants, clients and our technical team
  • Supporting client meetings as part of a wider consultative sales process
  • Managing referrals, relationships and activity through CRM
  • Attending relevant accountancy, tax and finance events
  • Feeding market insight back into the wider business

About you:

This role suits someone who enjoys:

  • Relationship-led, consultative communication style
  • Inquisitive, with excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable speaking to accountants without hard selling
  • Motivated by building long-term partnerships rather than quick wins

What’s on offer:

  • £32,000 salary + Bonus / Commission
  • Excellent onboarding
  • Curated external sales training post-induction
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Flexible benefits platform (5% salary contribution)
  • Pension, life assurance & PMI (post-probation)
