About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing specialist supplier to the UK and Ireland foodservice market, sourcing, developing and delivering a focused range of high-quality frozen and ambient food products to wholesalers, distributors, restaurant groups and franchise operators. Built on strong customer relationships, exclusive manufacturing partnerships and an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach, they're scaling up their commercial back office to support the next stage of their growth, and this is a key leadership role within that.

The Package

  • £42,000–£45,000 per year + bonus incentives
  • Nottingham, office based
  • Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (37.5 hours per week)
  • Free on-site parking
  • A genuine leadership role with real autonomy and direct exposure to the Directors
  • The chance to shape how the back office runs, processes, standards and ways of working, as the business scales
  • Sociable office with communal areas (pool table, kitchens) and tea/coffee/water provided
  • Loads of amenities a two-minute walk away, McDonald's, Greggs, Subway, Costa, Aldi and a large garden centre

The Role & Requirements

This is a hands-on, admin-first leadership role, you'll take ownership of the accuracy and standards of the commercial back office, making sure the Sales Administration and Telesales teams get things done correctly and on time. That means owning the admin KPIs: Excel files completed accurately, every order input correctly from all its different sources (email, phone, WhatsApp), and order confirmations input right, every time.

You'll lead, organise and develop the team day to day, check and quality-control their work, and roll your sleeves up to cover the desk yourself when the team's on annual leave.

To be considered you'll need previous experience leading or supervising an office-based admin or operations team, a genuinely strong administrative background with excellent attention to detail, strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills, and the confidence to hold standards and manage performance. Any experience in foodservice, wholesale, FMCG, distribution or a growing SME is a bonus.
