About the Role
We are seeking a proactive, commercially astute, and well-connected Account Manager / Business Development Manager to spearhead their expansion into the Utilities/Energy sector. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities by leveraging your existing industry networks and positioning our client as a trusted partner for resourcing and professional services. This is a pivotal role for building long-term, trusted relationships and establishing the brand in this new market.
What You'll Do
- Build a strong client portfolio by winning new accounts across the Utilities/Energy industry.
- Leverage existing industry contacts to accelerate business development and revenue growth.
- Promote professional services, staffing solutions, and technology expertise with prospective clients.
- Collaborate with our internal delivery teams to ensure solutions consistently meet client requirements and expectations.
- Develop tailored account strategies and growth plans for key Utilities/Energy clients.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure our value proposition remains compelling.
- Exceed individual and team sales targets.
- Prepare accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and account development plans.
- Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities.
About You
- Significant experience in sales or account management within the Utilities/Energy sector.
- Proven track record of successfully introducing consultancy, professional services or staffing solutions to Utilities/Energy organisations.
- A strong network of decision-makers and influencers within Utilities/Energy.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term client relationships at a senior stakeholder level.
- Solid understanding of Utilities/Energy sector.
- Highly motivated, commercially focused, and proactive in identifying opportunities.
- Credible and confident when engaging with senior stakeholders and C-suite leaders.
- A strong relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable, resilient, and persistent.
- Professional, persuasive, and influential at all levels.
