Build it. Grow it. Make it your own.

Are you an experienced E-commerce Marketplace Manager who wants the freedom to build something from the ground up, rather than simply manage an established online operation?

Our client is a successful, family-owned international trading business supplying some of the world's most recognised fragrance and personal care brands to major retailers across the UK and Europe.

Following continued growth, the business is now looking to establish its own direct-to-consumer marketplace operation.

This is where you come in.

We're looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially minded individual to take ownership of this exciting new venture, initially focusing on launching and developing the company's UK e Bay and Amazon sales channels.

You'll have the products, competitive pricing, supplier relationships and warehousing infrastructure already in place.

What we need is someone with the marketplace expertise and commercial drive to turn these advantages into a successful and profitable online business.

What will you be doing?

  • Building and developing the company's UK e Bay and Amazon marketplace operations from the ground up.
  • Managing product listings, pricing, promotions and marketplace performance.
  • Analysing sales data, competitor activity and consumer demand to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Taking ownership of marketplace sales, profitability, stock management and fulfilment.
  • Introducing AI, automation and new technologies to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
  • Working closely with senior management to develop the marketplace strategy and identify new commercial opportunities.

As the business develops, there will also be opportunities to expand into European marketplaces and potentially broaden your role into wider retail account management and business development.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who understands how to make online marketplaces commercially successful.

You'll ideally have

  • Proven experience managing and growing sales through e Bay and/or Amazon.
  • A strong understanding of marketplace operations, including listings, pricing, promotions, stock management and fulfilment.
  • The commercial awareness to maximise sales while protecting profitability.
  • Experience using marketplace analytics to identify opportunities and make informed decisions.
  • An understanding of AI and automation, with the enthusiasm to explore how technology can improve marketplace operations.
  • The confidence to work independently, take ownership and make things happen.

Experience within FMCG, beauty, fragrance or other consumer product categories would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Your marketplace expertise, commercial judgement and entrepreneurial approach are far more important than the products you've previously sold.

Why should you join?

Fully remote working and genuine flexibility

Work from home, manage your own day and enjoy the freedom to get on with the job without unnecessary supervision.

Build something of your own

Take ownership of a new business channel, shape its strategy and see the direct impact of your work.

A supportive, entrepreneurial culture

Work with an experienced senior management team that values initiative, trusts its people and encourages new ideas.

Excellent earning and career potential

Earn up to £60,000 basic plus a significant performance-related bonus, with opportunities to develop into wider commercial responsibilities as the business grows.

Interested?

If you're an experienced marketplace professional who wants greater autonomy, the opportunity to build something from scratch and the freedom to make a real commercial impact, we'd love to hear from you.
