About the research project
The project named “Risk stratification for early‑onset major depressive disorder” is a multi‑year, multi‑site international collaboration led by Dr. Francis Rice (Cardiff University, UK). The Danish work package, led by Dr. Katherine Musliner (Aarhus University), uses Danish register data to validate a risk‑stratification tool originally developed in Wales. A background in prediction modelling and experience with Danish/Scandinavian registers is highly preferred.
Your job responsibilities
- Conduct independent research of high international quality
- Contribute to the development of the department
- Undertake limited teaching
- Independent, high‑quality research including publication
- Limited teaching and supervision duties
- Contribute to external research funding efforts
- Disseminate research findings to academic, clinical, and patient stakeholder groups
- Participate in and actively contribute to the department’s working environment (journal clubs, seminars, etc.)
You will report to the Head of the Department of Clinical Medicine, Christian Fynbo Christiansen.
Your competences
- PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, psychology/psychiatry or a closely related field
- Strong background in prediction modelling and experience with Danish or other Scandinavian registers
- Good interpersonal skills, inclusive, team‑oriented, and fluent in oral and written English
Terms of employment
Academic qualifications at PhD level required. Annual base salary for full‑time postdoc: DKK 484,214.84 to DKK 538,720.20, dependent on years of experience after MSc. Salary includes a position‑related supplement and pension (17.1 %). Additional supplement(s) for special qualifications may be negotiated. Researchers recruited from abroad may be offered a special researcher tax scheme.
