Overview
Aardvark Swift is working with a legendary international games studio to recruit a Financial Administrator for their European office. This role sits within a small finance team and reports directly to the Financial Controller, supporting a wide range of financial and administrative activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company operating in the global video games sector, contributing to the financial operations behind a portfolio of internationally recognised titles.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day‑to‑day running of financial operations, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
- Process supplier invoices and maintain organised financial documentation
- Coordinate and execute regular and ad‑hoc payment activities
- Generate customer invoices and assist with monitoring and collecting outstanding payments
- Reconcile banking activity against internal systems, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
- Assist with month‑end close by preparing and posting journal entries
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including relevant transactions
- Contribute to audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to information requests
- Provide assistance during budgeting cycles and forecasting activities
- Help deliver financial insights by supporting reporting and analysis tasks
- Ensure financial records are properly filed and archived in line with company procedures
- Support indirect tax processes, including VAT return preparation
- Review, verify, and process employee expense submissions
- Act as a point of contact for coordination with international teams on approvals, systems, and documentation
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the finance function as needed
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative or finance support role
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Fluent communication skills in both English and Japanese (including translation support)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- Ability to manage workload effectively, both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills with a proactive, continuous improvement mindset
Desirable
- Experience with SAP and/or IBM Notes
- Interest or knowledge of the video games industry
