About The Role

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract: 12 months fixed term contract initially
  • Full Time: 37.5 hours per week, worked 9.30am - 6pm
  • Salary: depending on experience
  • Location: Gas Ferry Road, Bristol

The Media Archive & Asset Lead will be responsible for managing and organising Aardman's media archive & assets, ensuring they are available now and for the long term. As part of the Digital Production Technology team, this role will lead the appraisal, taxonomy, and setting of metadata standards across active and archive repositories. Partnering with Edit & Mastering, Production, Brands & Licensing, and wider studio teams to implement and run Asset Management systems that improve discoverability, compliance and long-term preservation.

About You

We're looking for applicants who are confident using Digital and/or Media Asset Management systems within the film production, editing and/or creative pipelines. You will need to be able to explain systems and processes clearly to both technical and creative people and be highly organised, collaborative and detail-focused in your approach. Candidates will need 3 years+ experience in archiving and/or information & data management, with a specific focus on digital media or film assets. An excellent knowledge of taxonomies, metadata and file management best practices is required, as well as data archiving back-up procedures.
