Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically savvy Project Manager to deliver innovative software projects at the intersection of space systems, network orchestration, and digital ground segment technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from planning and technical coordination to delivery and stakeholder management, within a multidisciplinary environment involving software engineers, system architects, and research partners. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, cutting‐edge projects involving satellite communications, autonomous network management, and European R&D programmes (ESA, Horizon Europe, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee complex projects, ensuring alignment with company strategy, goals, and vision.
- Manage project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in line with business and contractual requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure on‐time, on‐quality, and on‐budget delivery.
- Establish and manage project governance structures, including progress reviews, risk registers, and change control processes.
- Monitor and control project budgets, forecasts, expenditures, and resource utilization for optimal efficiency.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate programme and technical risks; proactively address issues to minimize impact on project outcomes.
- Act as the primary interface with customers, partners, subcontractors, and funding bodies (e.g. ESA, European Commission), maintaining clear communication and coordination across all stakeholders.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of work packages and compliance with technical and quality standards.
- Support the preparation of project documentation, technical deliverables, progress reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to proposal development and bid activities, providing project management inputs for public and commercial tenders.
- Promote continuous improvement and the adoption of best practices by capturing lessons learned and implementing feedback loops to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
- Program Management Experience: 5+ years of demonstrated success in leading and delivering technical/software projects, preferably within the space and/or network communications product industries.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA certification.
- Experience with project management tools (MS Project or others).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
- Thrives in a rapidly changing startup environment, displaying flexibility and resilience.
- Travel: Willingness to Travel occasionally as required for program execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Experience delivering ESA, Horizon Europe, or defence‐related projects.
- Strong understanding of network orchestration, satellite communications, or ground systems.
- Experience with Agile or hybrid methodologies.
