Job purpose: We’re looking for a Technical Co‑ordinator to join AALTO and play a key role in shaping the future of our Zephyr HAPS system. This is an entry level position where you’ll drive technical planning and ensure seamless integration across multidisciplinary engineering teams. Your work will help transform complex ideas into actionable plans, enabling innovation and delivering cutting‑edge solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Planning & Scheduling
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical plans for engineering activities.
- Track progress against milestones and flag delays.
- Coordinate with the Chief Engineers and Skills Team Leaders to ensure tasks are properly sequenced.
- Data & Documentation Support
- Support resource monitoring and reporting engineering activities.
- Maintain up-to-date engineering plans and records.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action trackers.
- Support reporting for project status (e.g., dashboards, KPIs).
- Communication & Liaison
- Act as a point of contact for routine queries between engineering teams and project management.
- Ensure timely dissemination of technical updates and planning changes.
- Risk Tracking
- Log engineering risks and monitor their impact on schedule.
- Assist in risk registers and mitigation tracking.
- Tools & Systems
- Able to use planning tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and PLM systems.
- Able to manipulate and analyse metrics and data to aid in the monitoring of engineering staff in tools such as BI, SharePoint, MS Excel.
- Support resource allocation tracking.
Skills & experience:
- Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work on aerospace engineering projects from concept to delivery.
- Knowledge of aircraft design and certification processes.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting issues and providing updates to internal stakeholders.
Other Useful skills and experience:
