The predicted salary is between 25000 - 42000 Β£ per year.
To set up and keep machines working in the stamping area, operating all parts of the process whilst working under their own initiative to solve problems.
The role will involve working on a three-shift schedule with Days (06:00-14:00), Nights (22:00-06:00) and Afters (14:00-22:00).
- Carry out machine setup and tooling changeover to produce a wide variety of brass components on CNC controlled hot brass forging presses and associated equipment.
- Carry out first off product quality checks, post machine setup.
- Operate hot brass forging equipment and maintain effective, efficient running of equipment.
- Carry out simple problem solving and action appropriate solutions on hot brass forging and associated equipment.
- Carry out production run product quality checks at required intervals.
- Work in accordance with company quality documentation.
- Carry out daily maintenance.
- Carry out housekeeping duties.
- Identify any resource issues i.e. material shortages, machine availability.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure the factory runs smoothly.
- Any other duties commensurate with the grade and nature of this position.
- Accepts responsibility for the health and safety of themselves and others.
- Understands and follows company safety, health & environmental and any other company policies and procedures.
