The Senior Producer will play a key role in shaping and delivering the company’s national and international programme during a significant period of artistic and organisational development. Working closely with the Artistic Director and Executive Director, the post holder will lead on international producing, partnerships, touring and co-commissions. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on producing to support the company’s artistic ambition and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Artistic Director and team to realise ideas for productions, projects, and wider artistic initiatives, supporting the strategic development and effective delivery of the artistic programme in line with the company’s vision, agreed timescales and budgets, and Arts Council England priorities.
- Maintain existing partnerships with international promoters, commissioners, agents and secure new international partnerships.
- Work closely with the Executive Director, to secure international commissions, co-production investment, premieres and bookings.
- Negotiate selected live and digital contracts including creative teams in close liaison with the Executive Director.
- Ensure information needed to negotiate and create contracts is obtained in good time.
- Communicate effectively with the Creative teams, Associate Producer and Executives to ensure smooth and effective delivery.
- Manage and support the line management of the Production team.
- Undertake research and network development and represent the company at selected pitching events to expand our reach in key international markets e.g. Australian Performing Arts Market, Tokyo Performing Arts Market, CINARS – Conférence Internationale des Arts de la Sène?, Tanzmesse.
- Support the Executive Director and team to identify funding opportunities.
- With the Executives Director, Artistic Director and team, develop the new business plan preparing the company for a new ACE National Portfolio Round for the future.
