Reporting to the Production Shift Manager, the aim of the role is to deliver the product of the right quality, at the right time, in the right quantity for the right cost in a safe and effective manner. This operator role is part of the Bottling department and will operate on a 2-shift pattern (mornings and afternoons).

Main responsibilities:

  • Safely operate equipment by participating in risk assessments for the area of responsibility, keeping areas clean and tidy, and ensuring operations are carried out according to the relevant SOPs and safe working procedures.
  • Set-up and operate the line to the correct standards through adherence to SOPs, maintaining line throughput to correct standards, and ensuring general maintenance and hygiene standards of equipment are upheld.
  • Complete actions derived from the identification of line losses – identify equipment and line losses, identify improvements, and participate in continuous improvement activity.
  • Adhere to relevant procedures to ensure successful completion of maintenance duties and changeovers.
  • As part of a team of operators, deliver the production plan.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Food industry experience would be desirable.
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Good problem-solving skills with a flexible and reliable approach to work.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
