Our story goes back more than 150 years, to the chilly southern coast of Scandinavia. From our early success in Sweden and Denmark, we’ve grown into the world’s leading specialist producer of plant-based oils, employing more than 4,000 people across the globe. We work with our customers to make the products you love even better. The oils we produce go into making your chocolate extra-creamy or putting the crunch into your croissant. And it’s not just food — we work across industries to make products that are higher quality, healthier and better for the planet. Everything we do is about Making Better Happen.

This position is based at one of the locations: Malmo, Karlshamn, Hull or Aarhus.

About the role

Are you an analytical thinker with a passion for supply chain optimization? We are looking for a proactive and data-driven Supply Planner to join our European Supply Planning Team. This is more than a traditional Supply Planning role - combining supply chain analytics, network optimisation, and the development of digital and AI-enabled planning capabilities. You will strengthen our European planning processes through capacity reporting and analysis, effective inventory management, and operational footprint optimization. You will also develop end-to-end value chain models to support tactical and strategic decision-making, while helping establish the capabilities, processes, and data foundations needed to enable AI-driven supply chain planning. This is a dynamic, cross-functional role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and is passionate about data, continuous improvement, and advancing supply chain planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop capacity reporting across European sites, providing insights into asset utilisation, constraints, and network optimization.
  • Analyse supply, demand, capacity, and inventory to identify risks and optimization opportunities.
  • Develop end-to-end value chain models, integrating operational and cost considerations to support tactical and strategic decision-making.
  • Drive supply planning projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the European network.
  • Build the data, process, and analytical foundations required to enable AI-driven supply chain planning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and other stakeholders to align planning decisions and drive improvements.

About you

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply planning, supply chain analytics, production planning, or a related role, preferably in a multi-site or international environment.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with experience analysing complex data and developing optimization and scenario models to support capacity, inventory, performance, and supply chain decisions.
  • Proven project management experience, including leading or contributing to cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau; experience with advanced analytics, Python, or similar tools is a plus.
  • A strong interest in digitalization, automation, and the application of AI to supply chain planning.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and organizational levels.
  • Fluent in English.

In return AAK offers

  • Join a pioneering company in specialty oils and fats, driving innovation and sustainability.
  • In AAK you can work across 25+ countries, gaining international exposure and collaborating with a diverse team.
  • AAK invests in your development with training, mentorship, and clear career paths.
  • You will contribute to a greener world with AAK's sustainability-focused approach.
