AAK Runcorn is seeking an Engineering Stores Person to manage inventory of engineering materials, tools and equipment, ensuring supplies are available for the engineering team to maintain machinery and equipment efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory of critical spares, classifying high, medium, and low moves and obsolescent stock.
  • Maintain the store’s CMMS inventory system, identify stock holding and value, and carry out audits.
  • Organize engineering materials location via CMMS, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective spare part solutions.
  • Implement and maintain stock control systems to track inventory levels and movements.
  • Receive incoming materials, inspect for quality and quantity, and ensure proper storage.
  • Prepare and dispatch materials, parts and machinery for returns and repairs.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply issues.
  • Ensure all materials are stored and handled in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
  • Assist the engineering team with locating and retrieving materials and tools, sourcing and ordering spares, stock, maintenance and project purposes.
  • Track and report performance using CMMS systems.
  • Organize and manage multiple tasks and schedules efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Previous store or stock control experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
  • Previous experience in an FMCG background advantageous.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in inventory management or logistics are a plus.

Location: Runcorn, United Kingdom

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time, Monday‑Friday between 08:00‑16:00

Salary: £28,000 per annum
