Location: This position is based in Hull (UK).

About the role: The Electrical Projects Engineer is primarily responsible for the development and delivery of projects on the Hull Site. Working with other members of the Projects team and the wider site team, the Electrical Projects Engineer will design and deliver the electrical solution to the Project. Delivery of the project could involve feasibility studies, agreeing the scope, agreeing specifications, costing of the project, engaging contractors, raising funds, controlling the activity and controlling the spend.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support smaller projects end-to-end, including scope definition, planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and control.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams and contractors, ensuring effective task delegation, collaboration, and on‑time delivery.
  • Oversee contractor activities during installation phases, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements, site policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and manage project risks, quality standards, and change control to ensure alignment with company strategy.
  • Prepare and submit Capital Expenditure (CapEx) requests, supporting cost control and financial performance tracking.
  • Support Engineering, Maintenance, Energy, and Reliability teams with projects related to obsolescence, end‑of‑life assets, and equipment risk mitigation.
  • Lead and participate in key governance meetings, including weekly project reviews, monthly PBRs, and 6‑weekly priority meetings, providing clear stakeholder communication and reporting.
