About the role

AAK are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Technician, either multi skilled or single trade (Mechanical), to join the Hull Services team. The role will support the team maintain, repair and service site services facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving equipment availability through the maintenance of the plant and equipment to ensure reliability and compliance through planned work and leading Continuous Improvement projects within your area of ownership.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Uphold maintenance schedules
  • Maintain Customer Service by ensuring improved equipment availability through maintenance and OEE improvement projects
  • Support and mentor the team with maintenance and continuous improvement technical expertise
  • Ensure detailed records are maintained of equipment failures
  • Support with continuous improvement initiatives
  • Working with the Team, engaging with others and being visible within specific area of responsibility
  • Safe operation of industrial steam boilers to include starting up and shutting down daily level testing and weekly evaporation tests
  • Maintaining and operating of water treatment plant
  • Legionella control of evaporative/cooling towers
  • Operation and maintenance of rotary screw air compressors
  • Maintain effluent metering and chemical dosing equipment

About you

The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Level 3 Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience working in a Multi-skilled Engineering position
  • FMCG experience advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to manage and prioritise workloads
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong team player and able to work well on own initiative
  • Mentoring experience advantageous
