Locations: This role is based at our Hull office or can be home‑based for candidates living in Northern England.

About the role: AAK Bakery Engineering Services specializes in the installation and maintenance of industrial spray equipment for the UK & Ireland bakery industry, supporting the successful use of AAK divider oils and release agents across customer sites. We are currently looking for a Bakery Service Engineer to support the design, installation, and servicing of our spray equipment, with a strong focus on electrical and pneumatic control systems. This field‑based role will primarily support customers across Northern England and Scotland, playing a key part in ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient equipment performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation and commissioning of AAK equipment at customer sites.
  • Electrical and pneumatic control panel building.
  • Service visits to customer sites; reviewing equipment performance and completing maintenance activities.
  • Control of inventory spare equipment.
  • Complete repair activities to spare equipment within workshop.
  • Ability to introduce new technical ideas to the department.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of AAK products and the use of these at customers’ sites.

About you:

  • Education: ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with pneumatic circuits, valves, and actuators.
  • Strong awareness of health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Practical skills in mechanical and pneumatic systems maintenance and fault‑finding.
  • Working knowledge of PLC‑controlled machinery (Mitsubishi / Allen Bradley preferred).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings.
  • Experience using AutoCAD for layouts and schematics.
  • Full driving license.
