The Associate Pricing Analyst will support the delivery of pricing analysis to help optimise volume and margin through data‑led insight, working closely with experienced Pricing Analysts and commercial stakeholders as part of the wider Pricing Team.
Accountabilities
- Support the pricing team in contributing to the overall pricing strategy as part of the Pricing and Analytics Team.
- Assist with price setting activities, including price list maintenance and preparation of pricing communications.
- Support the development and maintenance of pricing tools and reporting, using technologies such as Excel, SQL outputs, Power BI or similar platforms.
- Apply agreed pricing rules and governance processes under guidance, escalating exceptions where appropriate.
- Escalate pricing exceptions and recommendations for approval.
- Analyse data sources to identify trends and performance drivers, supporting volume and margin optimisation.
- Monitor core pricing KPIs and support the review of variances and exceptions.
- Assist with the investigation of customer pricing queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across sourcing, supply, and commercial teams to support effective pricing outcomes.
- Support commercial team members on tactical initiatives by providing pricing data, analysis, and insights.
- Prepare clear pricing analysis and summaries to support internal discussions and decision making.
- Actively seek to learn pricing practices and delivery.

- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Competent in Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
- Ability to work with large datasets and maintain data accuracy.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain analysis clearly.
- Willingness to learn, develop, and build commercial understanding.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Degree/equivalent (or working towards) in a commercial or analytical discipline, or demonstrable analytical capability.
