The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of training and development across AAG Wealth Management, shaping how our people learn, grow, and perform as the business continues to scale. You’ll design and deliver high-quality training programmes that build technical capability, confidence, and consistency across our PSS team – using your paraplanning experience to embed real-world best practice, strong standards, and regulatory excellence. Working closely with the Senior Operations & Technology Manager, Head of People & Operations, and wider leadership team, you’ll influence how new processes, systems, and regulatory changes are implemented and adopted across the business. You’ll be joining AAG at a pivotal stage of growth, with genuine autonomy to shape our training framework, materials, and culture of development. What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead the training, development, and competency of all PSS staff.
- Maintain, review, and quality-check the PSS Skills Matrix to identify training needs and upskilling opportunities.
- Apply paraplanning knowledge to review PSS work for technical accuracy, learning, and progression.
- Design, deliver, and coordinate onboarding and structured training programs for new starters.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver AAG training materials, processes, and procedural frameworks.
- Collaborate with the Senior Operations & Technology Manager on new processes and systems, including training creation, delivery, and post‑implementation checks.
- Liaise with SJP to implement new training materials and identify efficiencies and development opportunities.
- Support all PSS towards SJP accreditation and ensure compliance with Consumer Duty training requirements.
- Communicate updates from Partners, PSS, and Salesforce; deliver training at company meetings and weekly forums.
- Identify performance or competency issues, supporting improvement plans through coaching and development.
- Monitor Quality of Documentation (QOD), follow up on cases.
- Provide additional operational support as requested by the Head of People & Operations.
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for someone passionate about training and developing people, with a strong desire to motivate, inspire, and enable others to reach their full potential.
- 3+ years’ experience in training and development, including designing and delivering programs for individuals and teams.
- Excellent paraplanning knowledge with the ability to review and quality‑check technical work.
- Ability to assess competencies and identify training/upskilling needs.
- Experience in onboarding and structured training program delivery.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining training materials, processes, and procedural frameworks.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with managers, team members, and external stakeholders (e.g., SJP).
- Ability to communicate effectively, including delivering updates and training sessions.
- Competence in monitoring performance and supporting improvement plans.
- Awareness of regulatory requirements and ability to implement related training.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems for training and reporting purposes.
- Previous exposure to practice management systems and process rollouts.
- Coaching and mentoring experience, particularly in a financial service or paraplanning environment.
- Ability to identify operational efficiencies and proactively implement improvements.
- Confidence in presenting at company meetings and forums.
- Flexibility to provide additional operational support as needed.
