Area Sales Manager in Bristol

Overview

Our client is part of the leading UK based 200m group and supplier of energy efficient and low maintenance building products. The group was founded in 1976 and has grown organically and by acquisition since then. This particular business within the group has an unrivalled heritage for building plastics, rainwater goods, drainage and roofline products and is now looking to recruit an energetic and enthusiastic Area Sales Manager to look after and develop an already well established region that includes Avon, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Wiltshire and Berkshire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with a large distributor base, including builders merchants, specialist stockists, installers, house builders and social housing providers.
• Monitor competitor activity and work closely with internal business stakeholders in marketing, customer service and technical.
• Develop the region and drive sales performance.

Qualifications

• Reside in the area of operation and have sales experience in the construction sector.
• Have sold or have experience selling building products through distribution channels.
• Strong work ethic and a \’make it happen\’ attitude.
• Full company induction is provided, but experience in distribution sales is a huge advantage.
• Personality, desire to add value and will to win are crucial for a strong team environment.
