Responsibilities

  • Oversee vehicle condition, including inspection of tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Tarp cargo and ensure safety and security of cargo

Credentials & Licenses

  • DZ class license
  • Working at heights training
  • WHMIS certificate

Experience & Knowledge

  • Inspection report preparation (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Use of GPS and other navigation equipment
  • Local transportation/travel experience

Additional Information

  • Driver's licence validation and driving record check required
  • Physical requirements: physically demanding up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
  • Must have own safety equipment (steel-toed boots, gloves)
