Responsibilities
- Oversee vehicle condition, including inspection of tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Tarp cargo and ensure safety and security of cargo
Credentials & Licenses
- DZ class license
- Working at heights training
- WHMIS certificate
Experience & Knowledge
- Inspection report preparation (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
- Use of GPS and other navigation equipment
- Local transportation/travel experience
Additional Information
- Driver's licence validation and driving record check required
- Physical requirements: physically demanding up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
- Must have own safety equipment (steel-toed boots, gloves)
