About The Job

This is a unique opportunity to join our supportive and close-knit team. The role may suit someone with experience in an internal HR role moving to consultancy, focusing on building strong client relationships and providing sound, commercial advice. Alternatively, you may already work for a consultancy and seek a smaller, growing business with room to develop. You will further develop HR and Employment Law knowledge in a fast-paced environment, build relationships quickly, and support a range of clients across sectors. You will work with clients at various stages of growth, delivering proactive and reactive customer service to ensure excellent outcomes.

Duties

  • Providing commercially focused and pragmatic advice and recommendations on day-to-day HR and employment issues.
  • Working with clients to improve their HR setups by recommending and assisting with implementing solutions, changes and practical tools.
  • Advising management teams on practical application of HR policies and assisting with recruitment, training and management of new team members.
  • Helping clients build inclusive, values-driven cultures and working environments.
  • Mentoring and supporting line managers, acting as first point of contact for HR queries and management support.
  • Researching and implementing cost-effective HR tools to simplify working practices and add value for clients.
  • Representing AAB at external events and supporting marketing and sales activities.

About You

To thrive in our dynamic environment, you will demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualities:

  • Applied knowledge of HR practice, employee relations and legislation with the ability to translate into practical advice for clients (minimum 2 years\’ experience).
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, able to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely to clients.
  • Strong questioning skills to understand client issues and tailor solutions.
  • Consultative and flexible approach with a commercial, client-focused mindset.
  • Effective people skills, building trust and confidence with clients and the internal team.
  • Discretion and awareness of confidentiality requirements.
  • Forward-thinking, solutions-focused and innovative in developing tools and processes.
  • Responsive and client-focused, representing the AAB brand externally.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
  • Highly organized with good attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to office locations and client sites as required.
  • CIPD-qualified or willing to work toward this qualification in the future.

This is a fast-paced role in a growing company and duties may evolve. You will have opportunities to be involved in a broader range of activities and to be mentored by Senior Consultants.

Benefits

We offer flexible working patterns with a hybrid model. Ongoing training and development opportunities are provided. Salary is ÂŁ32,000-ÂŁ35,999 per annum (full-time) or pro rata for part-time candidates, plus a benefits package including pension, life cover and generous holiday entitlement.
