The candidate will support the delivery of high-quality restructuring and insolvency case management and progression across a diverse portfolio of cases. Working closely with senior team members, the role involves managing cases from inception to closure, maintaining accurate records, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confident communication with a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare statutory documents, reports, letters, and notices for review in line with legislative reporting requirements in relation to a wide mix of insolvency cases.
  • Liaise with stakeholders involved in restructuring and insolvency cases, including directors, shareholders, creditors (including employee creditors), debtors, and professional advisers.
  • Assist with delivery of high-quality advice to directors, shareholders, creditors, and debtors across all restructuring and insolvency assignments, with support from the wider team.
  • Maintain and develop comprehensive technical knowledge of restructuring advisory work, procedures and processes.
  • Perform detailed work as may be required, particularly work of an advanced technical nature, and produce detailed advice and recommendations, with due regard to risk.
  • Support the firm’s licensed insolvency practitioners in their appointments under insolvency legislation to create a strategy to maximise recoveries for creditors and shareholders.
  • Support case management including tracking deadlines, maintaining case diaries, case work packs, and ensuring compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality case delivery.
  • Attend the office regularly to support teamwork, supervision, and ongoing development.
  • Can work well with numbers and financial statements.
Key Skills Required
  • Exceptional Attention to Detail – Ensures accuracy in case records, statutory documents, financial reconciliations and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong Communication Skills – Able to communicate clearly and professionally with directors, shareholders, creditors, debtors, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable in a client-facing environment & interviewing directors/debtors with guidance and assistance from senior colleagues.
  • Ability to navigate challenging conversations with stakeholders and individuals in vulnerable situations.
  • People-Focused and Approachable – Enjoys meeting and engaging with stakeholders, building trust, and maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Organisational Skills – Capable of managing multiple deadlines, tracking case progress, and prioritising tasks effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Ability – Identifies issues early, seeks appropriate guidance, and supports the smooth progression of cases.
Qualifications
  • Being CPI qualified is advantageous but not required.
  • A full, clean driving licence is advantageous but not required.
Experience
  • Previous experience of working in a restructuring department is advantageous but not essential.
Team Player
  • Works collaboratively, supports colleagues, and contributes to a positive team environment, but can also effectively on deep focus tasks.
IT Proficiency
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), case management systems (experience of IPS Cloud preferable), and digital document platforms.
Professionalism and Integrity
  • Handles confidential information responsibly and maintains high ethical standards.
