Business Advisory Group Analyst - Stirling
Role Definition
As an Analyst at AAB, you will play a key role in supporting Advisors, Assistant Managers, and Managers in delivering high-quality client work. You will contribute to adding value across assignments and ensuring their successful completion. This includes attending client meetings, gathering relevant information and data, and helping determine the most effective way to present outcomes and insights. A strong understanding of core business disciplines is essential, along with the ability to effectively integrate technology into your work.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering a range of services including annual accounts, VAT returns, management accounts, and advisory work.
- Take ownership of assignments from planning through to completion, working independently with minimal supervision.
- Follow instructions effectively and deliver high-quality work for review by senior colleagues.
- Build on technical knowledge by engaging in increasingly complex client work and applying insights gained from professional studies.
- Develop an understanding of a variety of business types and sectors.
- Identify key discussion points for colleagues and clients, offering practical, value-added solutions.
- If applicable, undertake professional training or qualifications, aiming for first-time passes in exams and assessments.
- Uphold professional ethics and adhere to the firm\'s standards and methodologies, recognising their importance in maintaining trust with clients.
- Attend client meetings where appropriate to support relationship-building and gain exposure to client-facing interactions.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the department\'s services and those offered across the wider firm, identifying additional opportunities to support clients.
- Delegate tasks to junior colleagues as needed, ensuring effective utilisation while providing guidance and on-the-job training.
- Contribute to marketing efforts, including participation in social media campaigns and other promotional initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client service and internal processes, collaborating with the wider team to promote continuous improvement.
- Maintain financial discipline and deliver work efficiently, demonstrating strong time and cost management.
- Become an active member of the Stirling team, contributing to a positive, collaborative, and supportive workplace culture.
