Retail Sales Associate

Compensation & Benefits

  • $18.82 - $24.07 hourly base pay, adjusted for experience and location.
  • Eligible for incentive pay; average payout $162.00 - $389.00 per month.
  • Store hours Monday-Friday 9 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 1 PM; 37.5 hour work week; no Sundays.
  • Annual paid time off up to three weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently up‑sell and cross‑sell AAA products such as new memberships, credit cards, and insurance referrals.
  • Assist members with planning domestic travel vacations, including car rentals, hotels, vacation packages, maps, tour books, and triptiks.
  • Answer overflow calls for Roadside Assistance during peak call volumes, ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Serve as backup by assisting in cashiering, tag and title, and IDEMIA services if applicable.

Qualifications

  • Previous sales and customer service experience with a drive to exceed results.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency navigating multiple websites and programs; computer skills essential for multitasking.
  • Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Basic geography knowledge beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of pre‑employment and post‑employment screenings, including criminal, drug, and state and/or vendor‑specific checks.
