Job Overview
As a Field Claim Specialist, you will appraise vehicle damages, estimate repair costs, and manage insurance claims. Experience with auto subrogation claims is a plus. The role involves evaluating vehicle damage, negotiating repairs, and ensuring accurate claim documentation.
Responsibilities
- Examine damaged vehicles to assess structural, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage.
- Estimate repair costs using automotive knowledge and standard pricing.
- Determine salvage value and evaluate repair practicality versus market value.
- Prepare insurance forms and review estimates with repair shops.
- Coordinate with appraisers and repair facilities to resolve discrepancies.
- Train new team members and conduct quality audits.
- Manage claim files and documentation in the claims system.
- Negotiate subrogation recoveries and participate in arbitration processes.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of ACG Claim Representative Training or equivalent experience
- Eligible to acquire and maintain a State Adjuster’s license within 90 days (if required)
- Valid Florida Driver's License

- At least 3 years as an Appraiser with increasing responsibility
- Strong knowledge of auto appraisal processes and software
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with good time management
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or related field
- Active Florida Adjuster’s license (FL 620)
- 5+ years in claims handling, subrogation, and negotiation
