The Role – Production Engineer | London
The Opportunity
Support the firm’s trading operations by ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of custom-built, low-latency trading infrastructure.
Purpose and Priorities:
- Maintain and enhance trading infrastructure and internal applications
- Collaborate with developers to roll out new strategies
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimise system performance
- Strengthen monitoring and alerting frameworks
- Support automation of deployment and recovery processes
Performance and Accountability:
- Minimise downtime and latency across trading systems
- Provide timely resolution of incidents impacting trading activities
- Actively participate in on-call rotation and support shifts
- Contribute to system design and reliability enhancements
The Profile – Your Expertise
Experience, Ability and Knowledge:
- Hands-on experience supporting high-availability systems
- Strong Linux knowledge: tuning, debugging, and networking
- Proven problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments
- High attention to detail and proactive mindset
- Familiarity with high-frequency or low-latency systems
- Prior exposure to trading environments or lifecycle is a plus
Tools, Tech and Platform Capabilities:
- Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, multicast preferred)
