Chief Legal Officer – Wincent

Wincent is a 120‑person high‑frequency trading firm comprising engineers, traders, and quants, responsible for ~1% of global crypto trading volume. We’re unusual by design: self‑taught founders (not ex‑big‑HFT), no VCs on the cap table (ownership belongs to colleagues), and Bratislava—not London or Amsterdam—as our central hub.

About the Role

As we operate in a young and fast‑evolving market—and push from global top‑ten toward number one—we’re hiring a Chief Legal Officer to own Wincent’s global legal and regulatory agenda. You will partner closely with leadership, drive high‑impact initiatives, and speak up when you see risks others don’t. This role is central to shaping how we scale, operate, and compete globally.

What You’ll Tackle

• Navigating ambiguous and rapidly changing regulatory environments
• Making decisions with imperfect information
• Scaling our legal processes and tooling across international operations

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years PQE; common‑law qualification strongly preferred
• Prior experience as CLO/GC
• Background with regulated financial services, including direct engagement with regulators
• Expertise in securities, derivatives, and international capital markets
• Experience in international corporate structuring (contracts, taxation, employment)
• Digital assets regulatory experience is a plus
