We are seeking a skilled Processing & Reporting Surveyor to join one of our clients who are based in Bridge of Don. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing processing & reporting support, ensuring adherence to company standards and industry best practices. This role requires a professional with strong technical ability, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Applying sound up-to-date knowledge and understanding of company operating and legislative requirements.
- Providing survey processing & reporting support using a range of office / technical software and data processing systems.
- Assisting senior survey personnel in the documenting of client issued documents, company or operational data, calibrations, logs and reports.
- Assisting with online survey requirements as required.
- Creation of reports, lists and charts as required.
- Monitoring data backup systems.
- Ensuring the safe and effective direction of day-to-day survey operations in accordance with contractual requirements and instruction from the Party Chief or senior survey personnel.
- Providing advice during periods of Project preparation (equipment & software) ensuring completeness of supplied geodetic data / co-ordinate information.
- Supervising setup of survey software including confirmation of all settings and application of data parameters / variables.
- Ensuring that all settings comply with project procedures.
- Ensuring that all collected data is of the required standards and is gathered and processed in accordance with contractual and company specifications along with best industry practice.
- For the accurate and complete processing, quality control and maintenance of survey data and operational logs in accordance with operational requirements.
- Ensuring all deliverable requirements are being met.
- Working with the survey team to ensure all calibrations and checks are carried out and reported fully.
- QC of all collected, processed, reported, listed and charted data.
- For the operation, at a full and detailed level of knowledge, of processing & reporting software during all operations.
- Providing supervision & support of on-line team, particularly during any critical operations.
- Creating and maintaining field layout maps throughout the project, including backup / superseding of all files.
- Carrying out all necessary survey calculations and computations, and ensuring cross-checking of results.
- Routine checking of all survey software and hardware settings throughout the project.
- Ensuring detailed and accurate maintenance of processing logs.
- Writing survey report in a clear and concise manner.
- Assisting in the planning of all survey activities and ensuring all survey work scope is carried out, in accordance with project procedures.
Qualifications
- Must have a nationally recognised relevant academic qualification;
- Must have current offshore medical, survival and safety certification (for offshore operations);
- Must have completed all aspects of competence criteria for a Processor / Surveyor Grade in line with IMCA standards;
- Or have 12 months’ experience in a relevant industry post including 100 operational days as a Junior Processor / Surveyor.
