We’re supporting a 12-month maternity cover within a busy payroll team, with full-time hours and hybrid working. A great opportunity to step into a varied, hands‑on role in a fast‑paced environment, with a salary of up to £30,000.

Main Responsibilities

  • End‑to‑end payroll processing across multiple contracts within deadlines
  • Process starters, leavers, and associated payments
  • Calculate statutory and occupational leave/pay
  • Ensure accurate application of pay agreements and annual increases (incl. back pay)
  • Handle payroll queries in a timely, professional manner
  • Produce and analyse payroll reports
  • Liaise with internal teams to meet deadlines
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance with payroll policies
  • Support payroll audits and pre‑sign‑off checks
  • Keep up to date with payroll, pension, and HMRC legislation

Experience & Qualifications

  • Payroll experience in a multi-site, multi-contract environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC reporting
