AA Euro Group are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer (Setting out & QA/QC) on behalf of an Irish Civils Contractor working on large scale Infrastructure projects around the West London/Slough area.
The Site Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support across multiple civil, drainage and groundworks packages on a variety of large-scale infrastructure projects.
The Site Engineer (Setting Out & QA/QC) will be responsible for accurate setting out, quality control, and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
This is a long-term CIS position, 5+ Years experience in a similar position is essential.
Full UK driving license & full right to work in the UK are also essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out accurate setting out of drainage, groundworks, and associated civil engineering works
- Establish and maintain site control points and survey references
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical information
- Ensure works are completed to correct lines, levels, and tolerances
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design requirements
- Complete QA/QC inspections and maintain quality documentation
- Prepare and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Record as-built information, survey data, and site measurements
- Inspect materials, workmanship, and completed works
- Identify quality issues and support corrective actions
- Liaise with site teams to ensure construction standards are maintained
- Assist with technical queries and provide engineering support on site
- Maintain accurate site records and handover documentation
Qualifications
- Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred
- CSCS
- Experience using Total Station / GPS surveying equipment
- SMSTS (desirable)
