Agency Care Assistant – Residential Care

Location: Isle of Wight (PO31, PO35)

Salary: £12.21‑£13.50

Hours: Part‑Time (Agency)

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver personalised care and support in line with each resident’s care plan.
  • Promote residents’ independence, dignity, and self‑worth with kindness and respect.
  • Support residents through day‑to‑day activities, including personal care, meals, mobility, and companionship.
  • Encourage social engagement—helping residents to participate in events, activities, and community life.
  • Assist during hospital appointments, illness, and palliative care with compassion and sensitivity.
  • Monitor health and wellbeing, keeping accurate care records and liaising with GPs, district nurses, and colleagues.
  • Participate in medication administration when required (training provided).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
  • Be an active, supportive member of the care team—valuing teamwork, honesty, and continuous improvement.
