We are recruiting dedicated, experienced (Relief) Social Care Assistants on behalf of our well established clients in Westmeath and surrounding areas. You would be working in residential settings specifically focused on Intellectual Disability services.
Requirements
- Healthcare qualification Level 6 or above
- Social Care qualification or similar – Minimum Level 7
- Minimum 6 months experience working with adults with challenging behaviour
- Eligible to work in Ireland (only candidates with a current work visa will be considered)
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and implement a person-centered approach for clients appropriate to their wishes and goals
- Promote and protect the rights of people in a manner that respects their dignity, their right to make choices and their privacy
- Ensure the overall wellbeing of clients in all areas of their lives including health and personal care
- Assist in the teaching of life skills
