About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of an exciting newly established domiciliary care business in Bedfordshire for an experienced and motivated CQC Registered Manager to lead the launch and development of the service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven care professional to join a growing organisation at the start-up stage and play a key role in building a high-quality, compliant and person-centred domiciliary care service from the ground up.
You will have the opportunity to shape the culture, processes and standards of the service while working closely with the wider leadership team to establish a strong reputation within the local community.
The Role
As the CQC Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational management and development of the domiciliary care service, ensuring that it delivers safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led care.
Key responsibilities will include
- Taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the domiciliary care service.
- Leading the service through its start-up and development phase.
- Ensuring the service operates in full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
- Developing and maintaining a strong person-centred care culture.
- Recruiting, inducting, supporting and developing a high-performing care team.
- Ensuring robust safeguarding, quality assurance and compliance processes are in place.
- Managing care plans, risk assessments, audits and reviews.
- Monitoring service quality and implementing continuous improvement plans.
- Building strong relationships with service users, families, professionals and local stakeholders.
- Supporting business growth while maintaining high standards of care and compliance.
- Preparing the service for CQC inspections and ensuring ongoing regulatory readiness.
- Monitoring staffing levels, performance and service delivery.
- Providing strong leadership and ensuring the service meets its operational and financial objectives.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Domiciliary Care Manager / Registered Manager who is confident working within a regulated care environment and is excited by the opportunity to build and develop a new service.
You will ideally have
- NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or equivalent - essential.
- Previous experience managing a domiciliary/homecare service.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and quality standards.
- Experience managing and developing care teams.
- A strong understanding of compliance, audits and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
- A commercial and business-minded approach alongside a genuine commitment to high-quality care.
- The confidence and motivation to work within a start-up environment, establishing systems and processes from the outset.
