AA Euro Group are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer (Setting out & QA/QC) on behalf of an Irish Civils Contractor working on large scale Infrastructure projects around the West London/Slough area. The Site Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support across multiple civil, drainage and groundworks packages on a variety of large-scale infrastructure projects. The Site Engineer (Setting Out & QA/QC) will be responsible for accurate setting out, quality control, and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements. This is a long-term CIS position, 5+ Years experience in a similar position is essential. Full UK driving license & full right to work in the UK are also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out accurate setting out of drainage, groundworks, and associated civil engineering works
  • Establish and maintain site control points and survey references
  • Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical information
  • Ensure works are completed to correct lines, levels, and tolerances
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design requirements
  • Complete QA/QC inspections and maintain quality documentation
  • Prepare and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Record as-built information, survey data, and site measurements
  • Inspect materials, workmanship, and completed works
  • Identify quality issues and support corrective actions
  • Liaise with site teams to ensure construction standards are maintained
  • Assist with technical queries and provide engineering support on site
  • Maintain accurate site records and handover documentation

Qualifications

  • Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred
  • CSCS
  • Experience using Total Station / GPS surveying equipment
  • SMSTS (desirable)
