We are seeking a skilled Inspector to join our client who are a well established precision engineering firm based in Tameside.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform formal evaluations and inspections of machined products at various stages (first-off, patrol, and final inspections) to ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
- Accurately record all measurements and inspection checks.
- Identify and respond to quality issues as they arise.
- Report quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assess feasibility of rework and implement corrective actions when required.
- Liaise with internal departments to promote the delivery of high-quality products.
- Work cooperatively with team members and accept constructive feedback from management.
Qualifications
- Fully time-served engineer
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proficient in using manual measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and height gauges
- Ability to reverse engineer and create detailed reports from samples
- Experience in completing customer documentation
- Familiar with the control and calibration of inspection, measuring, and test equipment per company procedures
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Skilled in producing clear, concise written reports
- Capable of working to both company and customer quality plans
