Stockport | £16.00 - £18.30 per hour (circa £35,000 - £40,000 per annum equivalent) | 4-day week

Job Type: Temporary with genuine potential to become permanent for the right person.

Rate of Pay: £16.00 - £18.30 per hour depending on experience; holiday pay is accrued separately in line with current statutory legislation.

Hours: 4-day week Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 5:30pm. Every Friday off.

About the Company:

Our client is a well-established sheet metal fabrication specialist based in Stockport, delivering bespoke fabrication projects from small precision machine parts through to large structural steel assemblies. With in-house welding (carbon steels, stainless, alloys and cast iron), profiling, laser cutting, grinding and sheet metal work, they are an ISO 9001-certified business serving manufacturers, architects, local authorities and housing developers.

The Role:

We are looking for someone with a hands-on welding and fabrication background to step into a Project Engineer role supporting quality and inspection across the workshop. You will be the person making sure what leaves the building matches the drawing.

  • Inspecting fabricated products against engineering drawings
  • Creating final inspection reports and populating quality documentation
