About the Role
Our client is a precision engineering and machining provider, specialising in sub-contract machining of medium-to-heavy components across sectors such as automotive, aerospace, power generation, and offshore industries. They operate from a modern manufacturing facility equipped to handle large and complex workpieces, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and delivery to specification. We are currently seeking an experienced Manual Horizontal OR Vertical Borer Setter/Operator to join.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate manual Horizontal/Vertical boring machines to produce medium-to-heavy workpieces
- Work from customer-issued drawings and specifications
- Perform self-inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping
- Be willing to work overtime as required
Candidate Requirements
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
- Proven experience operating manual horizontal boring machines or a milling background
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to self-inspect
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently
