Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000 – £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience and level (Service & Call Out from £35,000–£40,000; more for engineers who can also carry out repairs, testing and installations)

Hours: 38.75 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:15am–5:00pm, plus a 1-in-4 call-out rota

Location: Greater Manchester / North West

Our client is a well-established company in the passenger lift industry, and they’re keen to hear from lift professionals at a range of levels – from Service & Call Out Engineers, through Repairs Engineers, to experienced Lift Technicians. Whether you want to keep doing what you do best or develop into new areas (including completing an NVQ Level 4), there’s an opportunity here.

What You’ll Do

  • Servicing, maintaining and responding to call-outs on passenger and goods lifts
  • Fault-finding, repairs, refurbishment and testing to current standards and regulations
  • Providing senior-level technical expertise, assessments and reporting on faults, processes and costs
  • Monitoring site safety, quality, compliance and the performance of field engineers and subcontractors
  • Managing site technical queries and liaising with clients
  • Conducting site surveys and producing dilapidation and technical reports
  • Assisting with commissioning refurbished lifts

What You’ll Need

  • Experience with passenger and goods lifts in a lift engineer or lift technician role – service, call-out, repairs or technician level all considered
  • Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or working towards / Level 4) in Lift Engineering or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
