Fabricator / Welder (TIG) in Eccles, Manchester
Rate of Pay: £18.00 per hour — holiday pay is accrued separately in line with current statutory legislation
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm, with overtime available as required
About the Company
Our client is one of the UK's leading suppliers of architectural sheet metal work, manufacturing fabricated structures and panel systems for key customers across the country. A long-standing business currently upgrading its facility, they’ve invested in modern CNC machinery and are continuing to invest to remain a key supplier in their field.
The Role
- Steel fabrication work using aluminium, Plastisol and other specialised materials
- Producing fabrications from pre-cut sections and in-house sources
- TIG and MIG welding on material thicknesses of 0.7 – 5mm
- Working from engineering drawings to defined tolerances, self-certifying in line with ISO requirements
- General maintenance activities as required
What You’ll Need
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
- Experience in steel fabrication and welding
- TIG welding experience on aluminium – essential
- MIG welding experience
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Competent with associated hand tools and a good grasp of H&S in a fabrication environment
- Drive, energy and initiative – able to work to timescales both independently and in a team
No welding certification (coding) is required for this position.
