An excellent opportunity for an experienced Multiskilled Engineer ready to step into (or continue in) a lead role within a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on position where you'll take ownership of engineering activities on site, while leading a small team and driving performance across multiple production lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small team of engineers on shift
- Plan and prioritise maintenance activities in line with production needs
- Work closely with production to maximise uptime and efficiency
- Carry out reactive and planned maintenance across site
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Fault‑find and work with PLC systems
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S environment)
- Assess team capability and support ongoing development
- Ensure machinery is fully operational and production‑ready
- Provide engineering support across multiple product lines
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment (Essential)
- Strong electrical & mechanical fault‑finding skills
- Experience working with PLCs
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
- Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Knowledge of lean / 5S principles
