A5 Recruitment is working exclusively with a long-established mechanical engineering and power transmission business based in Bradford to recruit a Technical Account Manager on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who is ready to step away from the tools and into a customer-facing role where your technical knowledge becomes your biggest asset rather than your hands.
The Role:
- You’ll be the face of the business to a portfolio of existing customers across the region.
- This means regular site visits to discuss requirements, collect and deliver work, and provide technical expertise on the spot.
- You’ll complete enquiry forms, brief jobs into the production team and keep your customers updated throughout the process.
- You’ll also be involved in weekly production meetings, feeding back on your accounts and any new developments.
- No cold sales. No machining. Just building strong relationships and using your engineering background to have credible, technical conversations with engineers and buyers at customer sites.
What They’re Looking For:
- A strong mechanical engineering background ideally time-served in turning, milling or CNC machining.
- Experience taking technical details on-site (measurements, sketches, vernier use).
- Good people skills - confident, presentable.
