from design handover through to a stable, repeatable production process. This is a shop-floor role, not a desk job. not workarounds Applying Lean principles to cut waste, handling and cycle time, and tracking the benefit of each change Supporting FAT, equipment trials and process validation ahead of full production release
What you'll need Proven Manufacturing or Process Engineering experience in a production environment
ideally sheet metal (laser, CNC folding, welding) Computer literate, with a practical grasp of CAD, DFM/DFA and engineering drawings A track record of solving problems at the root cause, not just managing the symptoms Comfortable spending real time on the shop floor, working directly with operators HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
Desirable Jig and fixture design experience FAT or process validation exposure Lean or Six Sigma training ERP/MRP or digital Work Instructions experience BEng/BSc in an engineering discipline
What's on offer A genuinely hands-on, varied engineering role with real ownership of process design, documentation and improvement, in a busy fabrication environment with plenty to get your teeth into. Competitive salary dependent on experience, plus benefits.
