We are looking for an Engineering Design Manager to join our forward-thinking engineering team within a well-established UK manufacturer. In this hands-on role, you’ll take products from concept through to production while helping shape continuous improvements across our design and manufacturing processes.
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Design Manager to run a busy design office. With a small team reporting to you, you will be hands-on designing products as well as managing your team to ensure the company continues to innovate and lead the way in their market.
The Job:
- Allocating work, ensuring all needs of the business are met including current production, sales, service and R and D.
- Interpreting design briefs and providing innovative solutions to design problems.
- 3D Model creation, FEA Analysis, DFM – all using the Creo Software package suite.
- BIM creations using Syspro.
- Liaising with suppliers and business partners to ensure suitability of materials, parts and cost.
- Taking products through from conception to completion, working closely with the in-house departments and in-house manufacturing team.
The Person:
We require a Senior Design Engineer, or Design Manager, with experience of sheet metal and large assemblies. Knowledge of Hydraulics, electrics and plumbing systems would be an advantage.
