We are looking for an experienced mechanical fitter/assembler to work in an Eco-Fuel company based in Fowlmere (between Royston and Cambridge) on a short-term basis.

Below are some of the duties in this role:

  • Mechanical Assembly & Fitting
  • Knowledge and understanding in the use of Swagelok fittings.
  • Prepare component parts to required quality standards before assembling into system elements.
  • Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.
  • Work with large and high-value components requiring careful handling.
  • Use and correctly interpret component and assembly drawings, along with written and verbal instructions.
  • Carry out manual handling of components and assemblies in accordance with health and safety requirements.
  • Use lifting equipment safely and appropriately where required.

Quality & Safety

  • Ensure components and assemblies meet required quality standards before progressing.
  • Work in accordance with work instructions, risk assessments, and health & safety requirements.
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness.

Team & Customer Support

  • Work effectively with colleagues across the production, Electrical and Engineering teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Understanding or experience of hydraulic systems would be advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical assembly skills.
  • Excellent hand skills and dexterity.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

Pay rates are competitive depending on experience. Only local applicants will be considered due to short-term nature of the role.
