Job Description

Mobile HGV Technician, focusing primarily on Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI). In this field-based role, you’ll ensure that HGVs and specialist vehicles remain in top condition by conducting regular inspections and maintenance. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals,\\nLocation: Field-based (Buckinghamshire)\\nSalary: £19 – £22 per hour\\nover time available\\nPositions Available: 1\\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\\n * Conduct Periodic Maintenance Inspections (PMI) on HGVs and specialist vehicles to ensure they meet compliance and safety standards.\\n * Perform routine inspections and minor repairs to maintain the optimal condition of vehicles.\\n * Identify any maintenance issues and recommend appropriate repairs.\\n * Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures during all tasks.\\n * Work independently as this is a fully field-based role with no workshop on-site.\\nWho We’re Looking For\\nEssential:\\n * HGV City & Guilds or an equivalent qualification (or ability to demonstrate an equivalent skill level).\\n * HGV Driving Licence.\\n * Solid knowledge of HGV MOT laws and requirements.\\n * Experience conducting PMIs and minor repairs.\\n * Familiarity with diagnostic equipment.\\n * Understanding of Health and Safety laws.\\n * Customer-focused approach with a professional attitude.\\nDesirable:\\n * IRTEC accreditation.\\n * Experience with Suction Excavators, sweepers, Hotbox, or crash cushion vehicles.\\n * Winter Maintenance experience or certification.\\nWhy Work for Us\\nIn addition to meaningful work, we offer a range of benefits:\\n * Flexible working options, including staggered start/finish times\\n * 25 days paid annual leave (pro rata).\\n * Family-friendly policies, such as 28 weeks full pay for maternity/adoption leave and four weeks full pay for paternity/partners leave.\\n * Pension, share incentives, volunteering leave, and employee recognition schemes
