Role Overview
As Domestic Abuse Team Leader, you will join our Care and Support department to ensure the delivery, management, and development of high-quality, person-centered support to customers. You will also oversee facilities management related to the building, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, procedures, and statutory obligations. Your role is to enable individuals to sustain tenancies by promoting independence, freedom, and choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Designated MARAC Officer.
- Monitor and manage team caseloads, ensuring support delivery aligns with support plans, group work programmes, and policies.
- Report safeguarding concerns or significant changes in clients\’ health and social circumstances according to policies.
- Manage and support a team of employees, volunteers, and student placements, focusing on absence management, performance management, and training and development.
- Develop understanding of service users\’ needs and the operating environment, keeping abreast of legislation and best practices to contribute to the Care & Support strategy. Review policies and procedures as necessary.
About You
- Driving license essential.
- Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (e.g., domestic abuse qualification) desirable.
- Experience working within domestic abuse settings essential.
- Experience of MARAC processes desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in staff supervision and performance management.
- Social care experience and/or working with vulnerable customers.
- Knowledge of safeguarding essential.
- Organizational skills, including time management and target achievement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
