We’re looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly and hard-working team at A2Dominion. This is a hands-on role supporting our catering team to deliver high quality meals in a clean, safe and welcoming kitchen environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain Health and Safety food regulations
- Preparation and service of food, and cleaning of kitchen
- Set up of the service area for breakfast, lunch and evening meal
- Responsible for the cleaning of dining room and kitchen, storerooms and outside storage area
- Checking in goods for quality control and packing goods away on delivery
- Assisting the chef in daily running of the service
- Assisting the Chef Manager with deliveries, stock rotation and removing any out-of-date items. Communicating when products are running low
More About You
- Ability to follow instructions from the Chef Manager and Catering Manager
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable engaging with elderly, vulnerable customers and their families, in a caring and respectful way
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment desirable, but not essential – full training provided
- Confident using computers for online training and basic systems
