Salary: £13.45 per hour

Contract: Permanent, Part Time (8 hours a week)

Shift Pattern: Saturday and Sunday, 10:00-14:00

We’re looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly and hard-working team at A2Dominion. This is a hands-on role supporting our catering team to deliver high quality meals in a clean, safe and welcoming kitchen environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain Health and Safety food regulations
  • Preparation and service of food, and cleaning of kitchen
  • Set up of the service area for breakfast, lunch and evening meal
  • Responsible for the cleaning of dining room and kitchen, storerooms and outside storage area
  • Checking in goods for quality control and packing goods away on delivery
  • Assisting the chef in daily running of the service
  • Assisting the Chef Manager with deliveries, stock rotation and removing any out-of-date items. Communicating when products are running low

More About You

  • Ability to follow instructions from the Chef Manager and Catering Manager
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable engaging with elderly, vulnerable customers and their families, in a caring and respectful way
  • Previous experience working in a kitchen environment desirable, but not essential – full training provided
  • Confident using computers for online training and basic systems
