Contract Type: 12 Months, secondment.

Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Property Transaction Manager to support the Head of Property Transactions and lead the delivery of the organisation’s non-core housing and tactical asset disposal programme. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the sale of non-core housing portfolios and other identified assets, working closely with senior leaders and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. This is a high‑profile role requiring strong project leadership, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple complex disposals concurrently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Asset Management performance reviews that inform intervention and disposal decisions.
  • Present clear, evidence‑based information to senior management to support informed decision‑making.
  • Lead the procurement, appointment and management of external consultants and advisors.
  • Oversee and manage the end‑to‑end disposal of non-core housing portfolios, ensuring key milestones and completion deadlines are met.
  • Take overall responsibility for all elements of the sales programme.
  • Produce high‑quality performance reports with clear narrative for senior management and committees.
  • Ensure accurate, timely processing of documentation and data to required quality standards.
  • Lead and contribute to meetings with internal and external stakeholders, providing progress updates as required.
  • Maintain programme documentation to a high professional and compliance standard.
  • Promote continuous improvement through collaboration and sharing best practice.
  • Line manage a small team of Property Transaction Coordinators, setting clear targets and supporting performance.
  • Prepare and present progress updates to internal committees and governance bodies.
  • Deputise for the Head of Property Transactions when required.
  • Work transparently with a strong customer‑focused approach.

More About You

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • Degree in a relevant subject (Desirable).
  • Proven experience in Property Asset within a project or programme management role.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience delivering high‑quality outcomes in a pressured environment.
  • Track record of managing teams to deliver sales or disposals within strict timescales.
  • Good understanding of the property sales process.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing clear, factual reports.
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship‑building, influencing and communication skills.
